Melanie Shaw is an editor and director who’s drawn to the deeply human, absurdly comedic and aesthetically enticing.
She has worked on films that have premiered at Sundance and Cannes while also making ads and branded content for Citi Bank, Bobbi Brown, The Nature Conservancy, Planned Parenthood, Tomb Raider and others.
She graduated from NYU’s film school and often works with the Huron Station Playhouse.
She uses or harnesses her background in the intersecting disciplines of commercials, film and theater to explore, often with empathetic comedy, the messy beauty of our shared humanity.
